The first time I stepped into a Kith I didn’t quite get it but knew it was the it spot here in New York. As I started to learn more about the brand itself and find that they carried brands life Off White and Fear Of God, I started to really get into the Kith hype for myself. By my fifth visit I finally decided to make it up to the 5th floor to find an expanded magazine collection and a few vintage Louis Vuitton and Chanel pieces as well. Whether you are coming in to grab a bear brick, a “fake friends” mug, or simply to embrace your inner sneaker boy and leave with a new pair or Yeezys, Kith has established itself as a leader in NYC streetwear. Also check out Kith treats on the second floor where you can get an ice cream bowl or smoothie customized by one of your favorite designers. Also on the second floor is a special collaboration area where brands like Moncler, and most recently, Timberland, strike the crowd with their limited designs.
With locations now in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Miami, Kith just gave a surprise announcement from founder Ronnie Fieg who teased the grand opening. While a few pop ups from KITH have made their way to the City of Angels in times past, it’s finally time to lay down some permanent roots. Few details have been released at this time but I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated. Follow me on Twitter @TaylorGoldblatt for the latest.
